FOUR new homes will be built in St Cross in Winchester.
Councillors approved the application to demolish the current building at Sandecote on Norman Road, and replace it with four semi-detached Edwardian style homes.
The planning committee meeting, held in Winchester recently, heard concerns that lack of on-site parking would cause congestion problems on the already heavily populated street.
Cllr Frank Pearson said: “There is only one allocated space per property and my concern is that it will make a bad situation worse.”
However, with quick access to the city centre and car ownership apparently lower in the area, councillors were convinced and unanimously voted in favour.
