THE Royal Hampshire County Hospital’s facelift is well underway.
Almost £300,000 worth of work will see the Victorian-era Butterfield courtyard spruced up.
A remodelling of the front entrance, improved disabled parking, and drop off facilities closer to the wards are among the changes.
Chief executive Mary Edwards said it will all add up to an improved experience for patients.
“We are very grateful for all the kind donations we receive from patients and their families. People’s generosity towards their local hospital means we can do something extra to improve the services and facilities we offer to patients,” she said.
A spokesman for the RHCH said the work is on track for completion by May.
