SENIOR prefects have now been appointed for a Winchester school.

The Westgate School has appointed its prefects for the next academic year which will see Mollie Stannard take on the role of head girl and Matteo Lewis as head boy.

Mollie and Matteo will be supported by deputies Elysia Dixon, Eve McCutcheon, Alice Robertson, Daniel Dawson, Louis Roberts and Tom Steggall.

Headteacher Paul Nicholson said: "The quality of applications were particularly impressive and all candidates interviewed exceptionally well. I look forward to working with these pupils during the next academic year.”
