FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Winchester city centre building after masonry started falling to the ground.
The building directly opposite King Alfred's Statue was losing masonry from the top parapets today.
The fire service was called in from Southampton with specialist equipment.
no-one is thought to have been hurt.
