A FORTNIGHT of events to support Fairtrade draws to a close this Sunday (March 9).
Winchester, as a Fairtrade city, has joined over 500 other towns across the UK in pledging to do whatever they can to support and promote Fairtrade, which offers fair trading terms for farmers and workers in the developing world.
The fortnight, which started on February 24, has seen community groups, schools, faith groups, businesses and Winchester City Council pull together for a variety of events, including lectures, information stalls, a tea and coffee morning and pancake suppers, all in aid of educating people about the importance of the project.
