WINTONIANS are being invited to ‘tee off’ for charity.

Autism Hampshire has invited teams to join former Hampshire and Middlesex cricketer, Shaun Udal, to his 6th Annual Celebrity Golf Day.

Shaun, whose son Jack has autism, is an ambassador of the charity for many years and the event raises thousands of pounds each year, raising awareness of autism in the county.

Held at the Old Thorns Golf and Country Estate in Liphook on March 27, the day is sponsored by Peter Cooper Volkswagen and 21Six.

Team entry is £499 for three people, plus a celebrity (or a team of four if preferred).

A shotgun start is planned for 11am, and after 18 holes, there will be a prize giving presentation before dinner and drinks.

Mr Udal said: “I’m delighted and appreciate the support of the celebrities and companies that make the day possible.

“I’m looking forward to welcoming back regular and new teams to the fantastic Old Thorns course.”

Hannah Godfrey, Events & Trust Fundraiser, said: “This event is a highlight of our fundraising calendar and is always thoroughly enjoyed by all those who take part.”
