TWO major crashes are causing rush hour chaos on Hampshire motorways for thousands of commuters this morning.

Both accidents involve four cars and are causing disruption on the M3 and the M27.

The first crash happend on the M3 northbound between junctions 14 and 13 near Eastleigh.

Emergency services were at the scene and the accident was cleared by 8.45am, but delays of up to an hour were still blighting the M27 and surrounding areas for traffic heading towards the M3.

The second accident causing tailbacks is on the M27 at Fareham after four cars collided shortly after 7.30am.

It happened between junctions 10 and 11 eastbound.
