A HAMPSHIRE man is one of ten finalists of a national travel competition.
Scott Tisson, 30, of Heath Road in Wickham, was one of ten people voted in to win the lastminute.com’s ‘spontaneity champion’ award – a £50,000 prize.
The winner will be announced on January 21 and will have the chance to spend up to £50,000 worth of travelling expenses to inspire others to ditch their plans and take up sight-seeing.
Mr Tisson, a business consultant, said: “I have always been keen to travel and tell the world about my experiences through video and photos as well as living life to the full and spontaneously. I'm determined to do everything I can to be successful.”
He reached the final stages of the competition with a 60 second video explaining why he would be the best person for the job in an effort to secure as many votes as possible.
“Squeezing your lifelong achievements and relevant experience into 60 seconds, along with showing energy and character was tough, but they must have seen something they liked,” said Scott, who is now appealing for local support for his campaign.

Voting closes on January 15.
