New year, new name for Hampshire charity
1:00pm Friday 27th December 2013 in News
IT is more of a tweak than a re-launch, but the Hampshire Autistic Society is changing.
It will now be known as Autism Hampshire and will also come with an updated logo that 'better reflects the charity's person-centred approach.'
There are an estimated 18,000 people on the autism spectrum in the county and Autism Hampshire offers direct services to over 200 individuals, providing outreach support to nearly 100 families affected by autism each year.
Its services are often first accessed by people in crisis and the organisation's services include the Life Skills College in Southampton, residential care homes, an Adult Day Service, Domiciliary Care, Supported Living projects, university study support and an outreach department that responds to up to 18,000 calls per year.
