ICE skating enthusiasts will be in for a special treat when the Winchester ice rink opening ceremony will be attended by the head judge from Dancing on Ice.
Olympic champion and TV judge, Robin Cousins, will attend this evening’s ceremony, which starts from 6pm at the Cathedral, marking the opening of the rink and the Christmas market.
Mr Cousins has recently been directing and choreographing Robin Cousins’ Ice which opens at the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton next year.
The cast, as handpicked by Mr Cousins, includes Lisa Brewin, Natalie Cunningham and Adam Jukes from the UK, as well as America’s Annie Aggeler, Bandee Malto and Neill Shelton to name but a few.
The show beings from January 16-19, ahead of a world tour, which features soloists and pair skaters some of whom have achieved Olympic and national medals.
