A SPECIAL event for people with disabilities is being staged at Romsey’s Crosfield Hall next Wednesday (Nov 6).

The Disability Empowerment Fair, 10am-2pm, is aimed at bringing service providers for the disabled under one roof so that people with physical and mental health issues can chat about their problems and be pointed in the right direction for help.

Amongst the 30+ exhibition stands will be officials from Carers Together, A to B Mobility, Open Sight, Hampshire Scouts, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, the Southampton Talking Echo and Romsey Disability Forum. The DotComUnity Credit Union will also be there and staff will be talking about banking options.

“The fair is a unique and creative event to promote empowerment for individuals with disabilities.

It is not just about personal care, but about total choice and control.

“We have sourced a combination of local and national providers to exhibit care, leisure, employment and education services available to disabled people,” said Iain Speed, MD of All Inclusive CIC, which is behind the event.
