HUNDREDS of runners helped raise cash for one of Winchester’s biggest clubs.
Almost 1,000 people took part in the Clarendon Marathon on Sunday, a race between Salisbury and Winchester run by both cities’ Rotary Clubs.
The race started from Salisbury Cathedral and ended at Kings’ School, with the winner finishing in just under three hours.
It is one of the main fund-raisers of the year although the final amount is still unknown. Last year’s run raised around £16,000.
The event began in 1998 but has only been managed by Rotary since 2012.
