THE inquest has opened into the death of a Winchester man in a helicopter crash in the North Sea.
George Allison, 57, engineering consultant, of Francis Gardens, Abbotts Barton, was among four people killed on August 23 whilst flying from an oil rig to the Shetland Islands.
Central Hampshire coroner Grahame Short heard that the cause of death was drowning.
The hearing was adjourned.
