A WINCHESTER footpath diversion will begin on Monday (September 2).
Between Garnier Road and St Cross Meadows, the diversion will be re-routed via Kingsgate Road, St Faith’s Road and Back Street, while work is carried out on St Faith’s Meadow.
The closure is expected to last between two-three months while felled trees are cleared and fencing is installed. The works form part of a project to retore the Site of Special Scientific Interest which was damaged by a willow and poplar plantation.
