TRADESMEN and women across Winchester are being urged to down tools and enter this year's search for Britain's Top Tradesman.
Screwfix, which has a store in Winchester, is launching its annual competition to find a home for the title of the nation's No1 worker - an accolade previous winners say can really boost business.
Last year's winner, Michael Cairns, a plumber from Edinburgh, said: “Most people don't know who to call when looking for a reputable tradesman, this endorsement is giving them the confidence to pick up the phone and call me. I would recommend every tradesman and woman enters this year's Britain's top Tradesman - it really can change your life!”
The national final will be in November and a brand new Toyota Proace van will also be awarded. Wintonians can enter by stopping by the Screwfix store in Winnall, or by visiting www.screwfix.com/btt
