Winchester Gymnastics Club was only established a few months ago, but they are already training their new squad.

The club offers children an opportunity to take part in recreational gymnastics giving them access to an activity that will keep them fit, improve their skills and increase confidence. The squad has now been established to help the children expand their skills even more.

Head coach, Patricia Francis, commented: "All of the gymnasts have been working hard and are improving day by day. The squad will enable some of the children to progress even further, with a view to taking part in local competitions against other clubs.

"We want the children to achieve as much as they can, whilst enjoying the sport and having fun, the squad is just the next stage of development for the club, which is growing fast."

The committee is working hard to raise funds and organise events including an awards evening and club competition next year and the children will soon start wearing their new club leotards.

Winchester Gymnastics Club is open to primary school children of any ability, running as part of the community programme at Henry Beaufort School. There are some spaces left so if you are interested please contact Heike Pohl for further information Tel: 01962 880073.
