West Meon business unveils newly refurbished store
A NEW look business reopened in West Meon this week.
Essentials of Meon, based at the Crossroads in West Meon, unveiled its refurbished forecourt store on Wednesday (Aug 21) with a tasting day, allowing customers to sample its new hot food area.
The shop has increased in size to 2,500sqft and now offers 15 customer parking spaces.
Lucy Jordan, manager, said: “We have worked hard to create a store which not only meets the needs of our local community but also serves the many commuters that take advantage of our offer.
“The refurbished store provides a fantastic range of hot food, which can be enjoyed in the store or to take away, and places great emphasis on the importance of local suppliers to independent retailers. We hope our customers enjoy our refurbished store as much as we do.”
Changes include offering a substantial food-to-go selection including freshly baked bread and sandwiches, cakes, hot breakfasts, burgers and fish and chips. An eating area has also been added.
It will also focus more on locally-sourced products include meat and pastries from local butchers and ready meals by Gingers Kitchen.
