MEON VALLEY'S alpaca farm will open its doors to the public this summer.
The increasingly popular field animals, famous for their softer-than-soft fleeces, will be on show and even for sale on August 4, between 2-5pm, courtesy of Karen and Peter Oglesby and their daughter Rebecca, at Midlington Hill, Droxford.
Visitors can walk amongst the alpacas and can learn how to rear and breed these animals.
Afternoon tea and cake will be served. There is also a small shop which sells fleece for spinning, yarn for knitting and products made with the fleece. There will be spinning demonstrations and a fun quiz for children.
Alpacas originate from South America, Peru and Chile, and are members of the camelid family, along with Llamas, camels, vicuñas and guanacos.
Tickets cost £5 per adult and £2 per child over 5 and OAPs. Dogs are not permitted.
