IT’S almost party time in Winchester.

The Hat Fair begins tomorrow (July 5), promising a feast of street theatre, music, magic and dancing for thousands of visitors.

There is also a rare UK appearance by French sculptor Denis Tricot, who will apply his talents to Weirs Walk, creating an illuminated pathway.

Meanwhile several indoor events take place around the city as part of ‘Hidden Hat Fair’.

It will be the first festival since organisers joined forces with the Theatre Royal to secure the Hat Fair’s long-term future.

The Hat Fair runs until Sunday (July 7).
