A WINCHESTER barbershop group is performing a charity gig next week.
The Wessex Chordsmen will greet customers at Sainsbury’s Badger Farm store on Monday, July 8, from 7pm, collecting donations for Macmillan Cancer Support, its annual chosen charity.
The group offers an extensive repertoire of close harmony singing, including traditional songs such as By the Light of the Silvery Moon as well as slightly more modern tunes like The Everly Brothers’ Bye Bye Love.
A men-only choir, it has been performing for 20 years and new members are welcome to attend rehearsals.
