RAIN poured into Stockbridge Primary School after thieves stripped the lead from the roof.

Police want to speak to two men wearing dark hooded clothing who were seen in the school grounds just before 3am on January 19.

The theft was not discovered until January 28, when heavy rain causing further damage to the premises. No children were in the school at the time of the leaks.

Police also believe the Stockbridge school theft may be connected to the theft lead from the roof of King’s Somborne Primary School between 9am Friday and 8am Monday, January 18–21.

They are appealing to any witnesses or any scrap dealers who were offered lead after the thefts to contact PC Simon Beecroft of the Safer Neighbourhoods Team or Police Community Support Officer Sophie Downie at Stockbridge on 101.
