Alresford's new police station to officially open tomorrow

Hampshire Chronicle: Alresford's new police station to officially open tomorrow Alresford's new police station to officially open tomorrow

The official opening of the new police station in Alresford will be tomorrow.

Police officers moved from Station Road to the fire station on Pound Hill on Saturday December 15.

The relocation was forced by the police need to save money and plans to sell off many of its offices and stations across the county.

The move will actually raise the police profile in the town as Pound Hill is on the main road through the town instead of a side street.

Great news for the residents of Alresford and surrounding areas. Am just wondering if, after building this new Police station, will it be open 24hrs or run on office times i.e. 9-5pm and closed weekends??
