A WINCHESTER business has donated more than £26,000 to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Denplan staff and member dentists raised the funds throughout 2012 for the charity.
Managing director Steve Gates presented the cheque to Lisa Murphy, Macmillan fundraising manager for South East Hampshire and Isle of Wight at the businesses office in Victoria Road, Winchester.
Mr Gates said: “Macmillan Cancer Support is a great charity helping thousands of people affected by cancer every year. Our more than 300 staff members have been working hard to raise funds all throughout 2012 via cake sales, raffles and events to help people in need.
“Our member dentists have also been helping and we’re proud to have been able to make such a significant contribution of £26,888.55.”
Ms Murphy added: “Macmillan Cancer Support would like to thank everyone at Denplan who has fundraised for us over the last year. Cancer is the toughest fight that many of us will face and it is only because of the generosity of our supporters that we are able to provide the best possible care and support for local people living with cancer.”
Denplan will be also be supporting Macmillan over the next two years.
