A HAMPSHIRE charity has received a £1,000 donation from a firm of solicitors based in Southampton and Salisbury.
The Joe Glover Trust, based in Colden Common, near Winchester, was handed the cash by Southampton and Salisbury-based Trethowans.
Jane Wilmshurst, regional officer at the Joe Glover Trust, said: "This will really help us continue to support families going through a very difficult time while their child is receiving treatment for cancer.”
Suzanne Foster, an associate and member of Trethowans’ Charities Committee, said: “We are delighted to be able to make this donation to the Joe Glover Trust who make such a difference to children’s lives. All the children and their families are truly inspirational.”
The Joe Glover Trust was formed in 2007 following the death of eight-year-old Joe Glover to non-hodgkins lymphoma, and is run by parents with firsthand experience of dealing with cancer.
