Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is to mark its first anniversary on Wednesday (January 9).
Besides Winchester’s Royal Hampshire County Hospital, the trust also manages Andover War Memorial Hospital and the Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital.
It’s been a momentous year for Hampshire Hospitals, with the launch of a mobile MRI scanner and the opening of the new outpatients centre in Winchester.
Mary Edwards, chief executive, said: “We have achieved a great deal in our first year, delivering one service across our three hospitals and there is still more we want to do. We are very proud of our staff’s commitment to providing high quality care for our patients and we will do more in the year ahead to improve facilities, keep on improving the quality of care and provide services for our local communities.”
In January 2012 the trust pledged to improve services and facilities for patients across all three hospitals, and their efforts were recognised at the annual Director of Nursing Awards in the summer, and the monthly WOW! Awards, when patients and their families nominated the trust’s nursing, midwifery and therapy staff.
