POLICE in Eastleigh are advising residents in Chandlers Ford to be vigilant and to report anything that appears to be suspicious following two burglaries on Wednesday.
Sometime between 8.30am and 5.45pm a window was smashed at a home in Park Road where and an i-pad was stolen following an untidy search.
The same day, a property was burgled in nearby Thurston Close after a rear door was forced sometime between 11am and 3pm and jewellery was taken, again following an untidy search.
In view of these two incidents, police are appealing to residents to review household security and try to ensure items of value or those that can be easily carried are locked away. Residents are also urged to keep an eye open on neighbouring properties. If a person or a vehicle is seen that is not usually seen in the neighbourhood and is considered to be suspicious, please report this to the police on 101 or 999 if a crime is being committed.
