Christmas fair to be held at home of late Monkees lead singer, Davy Jones

A CHRISTMAS fair is being held at the Hampshire family home of the late Davy Jones.

The Monkees lead singer died in February but his daughter Annabel is opening Grenville Hall, Droxford, near Winchester, to the public for the fair on Sunday, December 2.

Mr Jones used to live in Droxford before moving to a ranch in Florida, where he died of a heart attack.

There will be several stalls including toys, crafts and jewellery as well as vintage clothing and clothes from local designers Tracy Evans, Jervoise Jackets and Adrienne Honie Knitwear which have all been featured in international magazines.

Entertainment is provided by the Hampshire Youth Brass Band and singer Charlotte Clark, who has become an internet sensation after have more than one million hits on YouTube.

Annabel said: “A lot of love and thought has gone in to creating something that showcases the best of Hampshire and we hope it will be embraced by the local community and bring a little cheer in to all our lives.

“We are over the moon to have the Hampshire Youth Brass Band as youth arts is something my dad was so passionate about.”

The fair starts at 10am-6pm and entry is free. Refreshments are available throughout.
