HAMPSHIRE musicians will have a right royal good time at a gala concert later this month.
Performers of all ages will play royal-themed pieces at In a Golden Coach on November 17 at Winchester Cathedral.
The concert marks the close of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Hampshire and features performers from Winchester Community Choir, University of Winchester students, the Wherwell Singers and more than 200 local schoolchildren.
Hannah Curtain, director of foundation music at the University of Winchester, said: “We are really looking forward to celebrating the end of this very special royal year with a truly royal concert. This will be a really special occasion where we will, musically, explore and celebrate what the Queen and the royal family means to us all.”
The concert starts at 7.30pm with tickets £7 for adults and £5 for concessions. For more details call the cathedral box office on 01962 857275.
