Human remains found in village

HUMAN remains have been discovered in a village north of Winchester.

Detectives from Hampshire Police's major crime department launched an investigation after a dog walker made the discovery at 6.30am today (May 8) in a rural area of Dummer.

Police are appealing to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the Dummer area overnight to contact them on 0845 045 4545, quoting operation Fletcher.
