SIR — I am amazed that your correspondent thinks a 19-minute wait at our new post office is bad.
Earlier this month I arrived at the back of WH Smith’s shortly before 5pm on a weekday, and didn’t leave until nearly 5.30. Somehow I doubt this is a record.
Can any of your readers beat this?
