Emma Thompson is said to have paid tribute to her late friend Alan Rickman as she picked up a movie gong.
The actress won the comedy award for The Legend of Barney Thomson at the Evening Standard Film Awards.
Her win comes less than a month after Alan died aged 69 having suffered from cancer.
According to the Mirror, Emma said: “I’d like to commit this moment in time to dearest Alan Rickman who many of us are dearly missing tonight. It’s so depressing but there it is, it does happen.
“He did say I’d always end up looking like my mother, and he was right.”
Other winners on the night included Idris Elba, Dame Maggie Smith and Alan Bennett.
