Sam Smith’s James Bond theme, Writing’s On The Wall, looks set to be dethroned from the top of the UK singles chart by British boyband The Vamps.

Connor Ball, Tristan Evans, James McVey and Brad Simpson are on course to land their first number one single with their new song, Wake Up.

Brooklyn Beckham, the son of former footballer David and fashion designer Victoria, stars alongside the group’s members in the track’s music video, which premiered today.

The Vamps’ previous singles, Can We Dance and Last Night, both reached second place.

Wake Up, the first single and title track from the band’s upcoming second album, has sold 2,000 copies more than Philip George’s Alone No More, which also features Anton Powers, according to figures obtained by the Official Charts Company.

Sam’s song, which will feature in the 24th Bond film Spectre, is on track to drop down to fifth spot after just a week at number one, below Justin Bieber’s What Do You Mean? and R. City’s Locked Away featuring Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine.

Meanwhile, Brit-winning Hackney four-piece Rudimental are on course to achieve their second chart-topping album with their new record, We The Generation.

Amir Amor, Piers Agget, Kesi Dryden and DJ Locksmith previously topped the UK album charts in May 2013 with their debut album, Home.

Rudimental face competition from Stafford rockers Editors, whose latest album In Dream is tipped to take second place when this week’s charts are revealed on Friday.

Rounding off the top five are David Gilmour’s Rattle That Lock, Jess Glynne’s I Cry When I Laugh and Ed Sheeran’s x.
