Watch out for Gallaghers in the garden – Oasis have been turned into gnomes.

According to The Daily Record, the gnomes were unveiled on Friday at King Tut’s club in Glasgow, where Creation Records boss Alan McGee famously spotted Oasis in 1993.

The band, alongside The Ramones (or, to give their gnome name, ‘Ranomes’), have been transformed into 10 inch tall garden ornaments, handcrafted in resin.

Andrew McDermid and Charlie Boyle, the men behind the gnomes, have previously turned The Stone Roses into Gnome Roses. Andrew revealed that he and Charlie had sent a set to each of the band members after they admitted their love of the Stone Roses models.

He added: “Bonehead was even offering us tips on how to use social media to best effect, advising that the Gnome Roses should have their own Twitter account.”

Andrew has a personal connection to Oasis, having travelled with the band on their first tour, when he was manager to their support act, Whiteout.

“If you’d told me 20 years ago that I’d be back outside King Tut’s with gnomes of Oasis, I’d never have believed it,” he said. “This is our way of showing our love for music that meant a lot to us.”
