Game Of Thrones have released a very short – and cryptic – teaser for the upcoming fifth series.

The brief 10-second clip centres on Arya Stark, played by 17-year-old actress Maisie Williams, who was last seen leaving the Hound and sailing off to new adventures in the season four finale.

Red Priestess Melisandre (Carice van Houten) is heard saying: “I see a darkness in you.”

The footage directs viewers to ThreeEyedRaven.com, asking for people to sign up via Twitter or text to receive “visions of the future”.

The teaser seemingly hints at Arya’s temporary blindness, with the three-eyed raven referring to the mysterious vision experienced by Arya’s brother Brandon (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), who finally came face to face with the raven’s human form at the end of last season.

She also becomes a blind assassin, according to George R R Martin’s fantasy novels.

The fourth series’ finale saw Arya boarding a ship to Braavos using the coin given to her by Jaqen H’ghar.

Maisie, who has played Arya since she was 12, previously told Wall Street Journal: “When she gets on the ship, the final moment for her, she looks over her past life, this world she’s been in and spat out the other side, and she turns around and forgets all of that.

“She walks to the front of the ship, and that symbolises the fresh start. She can be anyone she wants to be… And that’s such a relief for one of the most unlucky characters on the show.”
