X Factor contestant Lauren Platt has revealed she could be forced to pull out of this weekend’s show because of a flu bug.

The last remaining girl in mentor Cheryl Fernandez-Versini’s group may miss the next round of the ITV competition because she is so unwell, according to The Sun.

Lauren – the bookies’ favourite to be voted out this week – is said to have missed a day’s filming this week because she was so poorly, and although she is thought to be determined to go ahead with her live performance on Saturday night, show bosses may still rule that she is too ill.

For this weekend’s Jukebox Week episode, each contestant will have to perform two songs – one chosen by the public and another picked by a celebrity.

Lauren, 17, is expected to perform Don’t You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia and Zedd’s Clarity, chosen for her by former X Factor winners Little Mix.

Bookies’ favourite Fleur East will take on Alicia Keys’ hit, If I Ain’t Got You and Tina Turner’s A Fool In Love, Emeli Sande’s choice.

Simon Cowell’s other act Ben Haenow will sing Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud and The Beatles’ Come Together, which One Direction picked for him.

Mel B’s final act Andrea Faustini will perform Enrique Iglesias’ Hero and Chandelier by Sia, as chosen by Sam Smith.

“I worked with Sia about six months ago and I remember being in the booth with her and her voice is just ridiculous, and when I heard Andrea’s voice for the first time I remember feeling that same kind of reaction,” Sam said.

“The song is so difficult to sing but I genuinely from my heart think Andrea can do this.”

Louis Walsh’s last group Stereo Kicks will offer their rendition of Run by Snow Patrol and Tulisa Contostavlos’ choice, Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars.

The X Factor continues on ITV on Saturdays and Sundays.
