Just when we thought it was all over, just when we thought Bake Off 2016 had given us all it could offer, it gave us something beautiful.
As the final credits rolled, it was revealed that former contestant Val Jones – who became one of the nation’s favourites for listening to her cakes, dancing while she baked, and panicking that her own county would banish her over her Yorkshire puds – is planning a trip to Cypriot party hotspot, Ayia Napa.
For a “bakers’” holiday, of course.
The news sent viewers wild on Twitter, clamouring for a whole show dedicated to following her trip.
And some people have made pictures…
Some people have even suggested titles for the show…
Even if it doesn’t make it to national screens, we at least want tickets to join her…
In fact, and this is controversial, could the news even be the BEST part of the whole Bake Off series?
Sigh. Val Stones. The woman, the baker, the legend…
