EMBARK on a mission to explore the galaxy onboard Explorer:Space, the new 600m2 interactive space zone that opens at Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium on Friday.

And the Daily Echo has five family tickets (two adults and two children) to give away to this immersive experience, which takes you on an epic adventure through the universe with amazing hands-on exhibits including everything from meteorites to stardust, robots to coding and atmospheric pressure to human space flight.

Explorer:Space has been created by world-class exhibition designers, Wild Creations, famed for constructing huge displays for a range of high-profile events and movie launches, including the recent release of Ghostbusters.

To complement the new zone, throughout the summer holidays, the Science Centre’s Curiosity Team will be delivering space-themed activities and a brand new live science show, Destination Space, where audiences will explore the story and science of satellites, complete with fiery demonstrations and rocket launches.

Furthermore, there is a fantastic programme of 360° fulldome planetarium shows scheduled for the summer, including the new film narrated by Sean Bean – Faster than Light. Visitors can also enjoy the outdoor picnic and play area, which has direct access to the Magdalen Hill Down Butterfly Conservation reserve, offering amazing views of the South Downs National Park.

To enter the draw, please email: catherine.collins@dailyecho.co.uk before midday on Thursday July 19 including name, address and a contact phone number. Winners will be drawn at random.
