EASTLEIGH Film Festival returns next week - and it will be bigger than ever.
Nineteen films will be screened across 12 venues as the six-day event returns from Monday September 25.
The festival is celebrating its fourth anniversary and will transform The Point into a hub for film fans.
Among the highlights are Toy Story at The Entertainer, When Harry Met Sally at Boswells, Mallrats at the Swan Centre, Carrie at Crestwood College and the Die Hard trilogy at three locations to match.
The Point will also play host to several titles, including La La Land.
Dan Hill, Eastleigh Film Festival director, said: “Communities are enriched, enhanced and energised by cultural and artistic activities and EFF plays part of that enrichment for Eastleigh. We give the community an event that they can enjoy and get behind and be part of that inspires their imagination.
“It is so important to run this event and events like it. Without cultural and artistic activities taking place in the heart of communities, there is very little that can bring people together. “
A film careers morning for students and film fans will take place at The Point on September 28.
The event, running from 9.30am to 1pm, will include workshops based around different aspects of the film industry.
As part of the event, celebrated independent director Neil Mcenery-West, will also return to the venue to host a directing workshop, alongside other skills-based participatory courses aimed at offering an insight into filmmaking.
Tickets for each film cost between £10 and £5 while those for the Film Careers Morning cost £2.
