NORTH Hampshire's biggest festival is set to return this year. CarFest South, which launched in Laverstoke Park Farm in 2012, is back for its sixth edition, complete with a line-up of musical acts and cars that promises to be bigger and better than any other so far.

Headliners for this year’s festival include Tom Odell, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Rick Astley, Seasick Steve, Manic Street Preachers and Melanie C.

As well as the music , CarFest Kitchen will return with an array of new faces cooking including YouTube star Joe Hurd, Ian Haste and Bake Off’s Howard Middleton. Other festival favourites coming back to cook include Tom Kerridge and Angela Hartnett.

CarFest South and its sister event CarFest North has raised £7.4 million for BBC Children in Need, whilst entertaining half a million people.

One of CarFest’s enduring features is it cars and this year the festival’s track sprint theme is Car Nations, which will celebrate some of the coolest and fastest cars from Great Britain, USA, Japan, France, Germany and Italy.

To top it off, there will be a host of amazing family activities on offer.

And for the first time families can cause mayhem and mischief by getting involved in the world’s biggest custard pie fight.

The event, which runs from today until Sunday, is a complete sell out.
