WITH his floppy fringe, chubby cheeks and toothy smile Little Jimmy Osmond exploded on to the music scene back in the 70s.

Now the legendary singer, best known for his worldwide hit Long Haired Lover From Liverpool and a more recent stint on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, is set to appear on stage in Southampton.

Jimmy is to star in the UK Tour of Grease as Teen Angel at Mayflower Theatre next month, having previously played the role in the West End.

Tom Parker from The Wanted makes his musical theatre debut in the show as Danny Zuko, Over the Rainbow winner Danielle Hope plays Sandy and Louisa Lytton, of Eastenders and Strictly Come Dancing fame, is Rizzo.

The original high school musical, based on the smash hit movie starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, Grease opened on Broadway in 1972 and in the West End in 1993. Sandy, Danny, the groovy T Birds, the sassy Pink Ladies and the whole gang at Rydell High take us through all the unforgettable songs from the hit movie including You’re The One That I Want, Grease Is The Word, Summer Nights, Hopelessly Devoted to You, Sandy and Greased Lightnin’.

Jimmy Osmond began his 50 year showbiz career at the age of three. He shares 59 gold and platinum records with the rest of his famous family. He still holds an entry in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest person ever to top the UK charts, when Long Haired Lover From Liverpool was number one for 27 weeks in the same year Grease opened on Broadway.

His musical theatre credits include Billy Flinn in Chicago, and Captain Hook in the pantomime version of Peter Pan.

A keen chef, he was most recently seen on our screens in Celebrity Masterchef.
