INFLUENTIAL international stars The Cinematic Orchestra and hip hop turntablist DJ Yoda have been added to the Blissfields 2017 bill.

They will join the likes of Metronomy, Lady Leshurr, and Sundara Karma for The Bizarre-themed outing this summer.

Usually reserved for the likes of the Sydney Opera House and London’s Barbican, Roundhouse and Royal Albert Hall venues, The Cinematic Orchestra’s live sound has been described as ‘unyieldingly classy’ by Pitchfork and ‘entirely different - something original and pure in its artistic intention’ by CLASH.

DJ Yoda will be performing his Stranger Things Mixtape live with a multi screen audio-visual experience as the show’s Thursday night headline act on the newly expanded Larch Stage.

Also confirmed for 2017 are garage legends DJ Luck & MC Neat, singer songwriter Tom Grennan and hotly-tipped five-piece Pumarosa.

Metronomy are the previously announced Saturday night headliner.

Following the release of their second consecutive top-20 album, 2016’s hugely acclaimed Summer 08, Metronomy have well and truly cemented themselves as crossover electronic pop royalty, and one of the most exciting new wave groups of a generation. They’ll be headlining the Saturday night of Blissfields’ monumental 2017 gathering on July 6, 7 and 8 in Hampshire.

The just 5,000 capacity event, at Vicarage Farm in Woodmancott near Winchester, will also be welcoming Queens Speech freestyler Lady Leshurr to the main stage, as well as BBC Radio 1 Xtra’s Sian Anderson who will headline The Blisscotheque – a double decker Routemaster kitted out for the ride of your summer! Sundara Karma whose debut album Youth Is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect was released earlier this year to critical acclaim. They make their second visit to Blissfields.

There’s also a welcome return this year for festival favourites and Blissfields family Beans On Toast and Dub Pistols. Once again Beans has been tasked with curating his own slice of the festival and will be hosting his own Presents series during the festival. Tickets for Blissfields, which runs from July 6 to 8, are available from blissfields.co.uk.
