YOUNG drama students are getting in on the act with their own Southampton-themed version of a musical theatre favourite.

Children aged 11 to 16 will be performing The Wizard of Odd tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon and evening after putting together the show as part of their weekly drama class.

In their version of the familiar classic, Dorothy makes her way, following the little blue dot, to the Emerald City to find the wizard who can help her get home to Southampton.

Students of the Hamble class run by Acting UP, a not-for-profit organisation that provides drama classes for children aged four and above, as well as adults, have been learning their lines, and creating sets and props, for the production at Hamble Village Memorial Hall.

The show will run at 3pm and 7.30pm, and lasts for about two hours.
