WITH Oscars season in full swing, Southampton's Harbour Lights Picturehouse is awash with Academy Awards buzz.

The art house cinema, at Ocean Village, is showing a host of great Oscar contenders right up until Hollywood's glitziest night of the year.

To celebrate, the Daily Echo has teamed up with Harbour Lights to give one film fan a membership of the cinema.

The lucky winner will be able to watch all the hotly-tipped films for free, including Tanna, which is the cinema's Discover Tuesdays offering next week.

The multi-award-winning film is the latest in a venerable movie canon set in the South Pacific islands. The grandson of a village chief, on returning home from his travels, is attracted to a woman who had a childhood crush on him, and his interest is returned. However, she is promised to another and, in a community where custom must be respected, the ensuing love affair will be tested by prejudice, as well as by some unexpected natural events. Martin Butler and Bentley Dean’s debut feature is set amid on the volcanic island of Vanuatu, with the roles taken by indigenous first-time actors who bring both realism and charm to this Romeo-and-Juliet story. The tropical settings are maximised to gorgeous effect in Dean’s cinematography.

A membership entitles the bearer to free film tickets, discounts on all tickets, priority booking for the hottest tickets and ten per cent off food and drinks.

Harbour Lights enjoys free parking and is fully open to film fans, despite the ongoing building work at Ocean Village.

For your chance to win a membership, just answer the following question:
