MENTION the word 'pantomime' and you may well shout 'It's behind you!

But no sooner is one panto season behind us than another one appears!

Yes, Salisbury Playhouse have announced their panto for 2017-18 and they say it will be "full of beans!"

And tickets have now gone on sale for their new production of Jack and the Beanstalk.

It is written by Andrew Pollard and directed by Ryan McBryde who created the recent hit productions of Cinderella and Aladdin and promises to be another fun-filled show for all the family.

Packed with songs, adventure, comedy and traditional pantomime fun, Jack and the Beanstalk will run from 2 December 2017 to 7 January 2018. It is designed by James Button who has recently designed Worst Wedding Ever and Little Shop of Horrors for Salisbury Playhouse.

More than 20,000 people enjoy the Salisbury Playhouse pantomime each year with most performances selling out.

Jack and the Beanstalk will run in the Main House at Salisbury Playhouse, with a range of morning, afternoon and evening performances.

There will be a Relaxed Matinee Performance on Thursday January 4 which is particularly suitable for those with learning disabilities or mental health conditions and their families.

Tim Croall, Head of Communications and Sales, said: “We are proud of the high quality pantomimes we produce which draw audiences from across the region. People are keen to book earlier each year and, to avoid disappointment, we would encourage audiences to book soon to get their preferred dates”.
