SPACE Ibiza will demonstrate their 27 year prowess as one of the world's leading nightclubs as it comes to Switch in Southampton in what is expected to be a sell-out event on Saturday, April 22nd.

After an emotional goodbye to a raving heavyweight earlier in 2016, the club will be bringing their amazing partying ethos to the South Coast with some big names in tow.

Space Ibiza opened in summer 1986 on the Spanish Island of Ibiza and developed a reputation as one of Ibiza’s best dance clubs.

Spanning its 27 year history, the Ibiza club won the ‘"Best Global Club" at the International Dance Music Awards four times. It has seen numerous legends perform behind the decks including Annie Mac and awarding winning world DJ Fatboy Slim until it closed down in 2016, marking the end of an era for dance music fans across the world.

Legendary house DJ Carl Cox was most associated with the club for nearly 15 years with his "Music is Revolution" night.

Upon release, the event's 1500 tickets have very nearly sold out to many club-goers of Southampton for the Saturday Night event with a few still left on sale.

Ryan Keary, Owner and Director at Switch Southampton told the Daily Echo about their plans for the event: ‘’We're seriously excited to be part of the Space Ibiza world tour, and hopefully shows the city how hard we're working to bring some of the best DJs and brands in the world on their doorstep, consistently.

‘’Space is one of the most iconic brands in the world, and we've worked closely with them ever since they hosted a stage at the very first Soundclash. We can’t reveal the line up yet, but that coupled with the production they are bringing will make this a really special night.’’

The Southampton event is part of the ‘The Fiesta Lives On' event - a series of events across the UK produced by Space and their British partners, London Studio 338.

Switch are remaining tight-lipped about the line-up for Saturday Night but Ryan promises some ‘’big acts from not just space but across the dance and house music scene’’.
