FOLLOWING the success of last year’s ‘Beauty & Her Beast’, The Stage Door brings to Portsmouth their delightfully naughty ADULT PANTO, ‘Aladdin‘ which has already been a huge hit in Southampton.

The production opened at Groundlings Theatre last night and will run until January 28.

Join the Dame and her two sons Aladdin & Wishie as they strive to make a success of their ‘family business’ and keep out of the clutches of Evil Abanini, as she searches for a virgin who can enter the ‘cave of her wonders’ to retrieve the lamp that will restore her virtue so that she can finally marry the Emperor!

Lots of naughty jokes, re-written pop songs and some saucy dances! This is sure to be the naughtiest night out Portsmouth has to offer – perfect for celebrations and parties!

The Stage Door follows up two popular adult pantos co written by Producer Julianne Watling-McCarthy and Director David Dobson - Jack and his Beanstalk, and Beauty and Her Beast – with this third saucy treat in the great tradition of lewd vulgar ribaldry and burlesque humour.

Expect joking local references and imagery so blue that full details cannot be revealed in this family newspaper but, put it this way, the Widow - seasoned dame Malcolm Clarke - isn't Twanky and she isn't running a laundry! You can enjoy the usual panto traditions with cheers, boos, sing- alongs and ample audience participation in the skilled hands of this talented and engaging cast.

It's all done, as they say, 'in the best possible taste' with lots of fun, music and laughter.

Tickets £15 from http://www.groundlings.co.uk or 02392 737370
