PSYCHEDELIC indie rockers Toy will fire up The Engine Rooms in Southampton on Sunday only days after the release of their latest album.

Clear Shot is the third compilation from singer-guitarist Tom Dougall, guitarist Dominic O’Dair, bassist Maxim Barron, synth player Max Claps and drummer Charlie Salvidge.

They describe the ten tracks, which were recorded in Stockport and mixed in Los Angeles, as their most confident and coherent to date, hugely cinematic and containing their most expressive melodies so far.

The lads, who originally hail from Brighton and are now in London, have also recently unveiled Fast Silver, the first track taken from the album.

They previously released their acclaimed self-titled debut in 2012 and cemented their reputation as one of the best alternative rock band in the country with Join the Dots a year later.

They’ve headlined the legendary Shepherd’s Bush Empire and toured with The Vaccines including at the 20,000 capacity O2 in London. Now they are setting out on another major fifteen date UK and European tour.

Joining them are bands JC Flowers and rising Southampton stars Fever, who recently supported Yak at The Wedgewood Rooms.
