British Academy Television Award nominated Romesh Ranganathan launches himself into the Kings Theatre Portsmouth on Wednesday September 7 and Thursday September 15 for his stand up comedy performance “Irrational” .

The former Maths teacher turned fabulously funny television and stage comedian made a name for himself at Radio 4 presenting Newsjack, where he moved onto the world of television appearing on Age of Cannibals, Asian Provocateur and it’s Not Rocket Science.

Within the last two years Romesh has dominated the Edinburgh Festival on two separate occasions, where he was awarded the Best newcomer in 2013 and Best Show in 2014 as well as winning the prestigious Leicester Mercury New Act award 2013 for his critically acclaimed debut act. Romesh has also been featured on acclaimed comedy series such as; BBC1's Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Have I got News For You, Alan Carr Chatty Man and The Royal Variety Performance .

The Kings Theatre is delighted to add Romesh Ranganathan to its long history of comedic rising stars to perform there over he last hundred years or so.

Romesh provides a humorous trip through his take on the complexities of modern British life, coloured through his unique cultural experience. Romesh doesn't cut any sharp edges off his comic performance; his show contains swearing and adult content.
