STUDENTS from Peter Symonds put their best foot forward for a resounding theatrical success!

Their production of 42nd Street at the Theatre Royal went down a storm with audiences and everyone involved.

The musical comedy classic is a song and dance fable, which tells the story of a young starry-eyed dancer who leaves her small town home to become a Broadway star. Students danced and sang their way through classic numbers from the much -loved musical, from “We’re In the Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” and “I Only Have Eyes for You” to the title tune “42nd Street”.

Audience members comments ranged from “It was absolutely fantastic!” “I wish I could see it again!” and “Stella performances by all,” to “What a professional performance ” and "The students’ performances were awesome!”

Principal Stephen Carville said, “I am brimming with joy and praise after seeing the College’s production of 42nd street at the Theatre Royal. It was truly superlative - a real testament to the relentless hard work of our colleagues and students.”

Peter Hedley, Producer and Musical Director for the production, commented, “This was the first time that Peter Symonds has ever staged a musical and I am absolutely delighted with how well received it was. A huge thank you to all involved.”
