Southampton’s heritage steamship the SS Shieldhall marks American Independence Day with a 3hr cruise on Sunday with the Shieldhall Stompers Jazz Band on board.
This is a relaxing three hour trip down Southampton Water, with the Shieldhall passing the departing cruise ships Celebrity Eclipse and Azura on her return to port, whilst a commentary in between the music will recall Southampton's many American connections.
The America’s Cup World Series Yacht Racing on July 23 and 24 is set to be the next big attraction, with Shieldhall sailing out to witness the spectacle.
On all cruises, guests will be able to access the Engine Room, Boiler Room and Bridge of what is the largest passenger / cargo steamship still active in Europe.
